Sheep Day 2016

Sheepday sheepshowThere are few towns in the country that can put together a one off event such as this; let alone run it on an annual basis. The team from Skipton Town Council and their ever growing army of volunteers certainly know how to just that and do events like this on a regular basis.

With the High Street closed off, the sheepshow in position, the arena ready and the stalls and attractions all set up – the sun came out and the people of Skipton and the thousands of visitors who came to join in had an amazing day.

Skipton Brass are always proud to be asked play at events in Skipton and today was no exception. Alongside lamb racing, the ducking stool, the duck and geese herding displays, the small animal petting zoo and the dancing sheep on the Sheep show, Skipton Brass (along with several other local musical groups) helped entertain the visitors while the sun shone and the crowds gathered.

As local events go, you don’t get much better than this and Skipton Brass would like to thank everyone involved in putting on such a great day for everyone to enjoy.
